- RED FLAG - Puerperal sepsis: assess urgently and refer.
- Recognise the risk to maternal mental health after stillbirth and screen for depression or trauma symptoms.
- No medicine is prescribed for this in primary care - this entry is for recognition and referral. Anything given is decided by the service it is referred to.
- RED FLAG - Postpartum hemorrhage, wound infection, and endometritis are major early post-cesarean complications requiring clinical vigilance.
- RED FLAG - A history of a prior classical or T-shaped uterine incision necessitates repeat cesarean delivery in subsequent pregnancies.
