- RED FLAG - Palpable abdominal mass or severe anemia: assess urgently and refer.

- RED FLAG - Blood or mucus visible in the stool, unintentional weight loss, a new persistent change after age 50, or a family history of colorectal cancer: refer for colonoscopy.
